Media Logistics UK sends spam on behalf of a number of UK companies, including a large number of car leasing and rental companies. The apparent similarities between these companies (one of which includes Kwikar, which may be an associate or subsidiary of Media Logistics) suggests that some of them might be the same business under different names.
Media Logistics also promotes their own Glooed and Kubixa bulkmail services.
Mail sent by Media Logistics does not usually contain a link to the website of the company advertised. Instead, it links to an enquiry form on a website maintained by Media Logistics. Their mailing lists appear to include addresses 'scraped' from the web and from WHOIS data.
In 2005, Media Logistics agreed to pay compensation to a businessman who had received unsolicited email from the company.
In mid-2007, Media Logistics UK started sending email promoting a number of mortgage companies. Interestingly, the companies promoted all feature on a website called Compareo that bills itself as:
One website that links you to all the major providers
Even more interestingly, each of the advertised sites — and the other sites listed on the Compareo website, plus the Compareo site itself — are registered to Media Logistics UK and hosted at the same IP address.
